SCOPE:
Móz Designs helped bring the design vision for 75 State Street in Boston, MA, to life with a custom metal feature wall installation. Positioned within the crescent-shaped lobby, the installation embraces modern functionality while reflecting the Art Deco character of the building’s exterior—serving as a striking focal point that immediately captures visitors’ attention and anchors the revitalized space.

The project features 72 custom aluminum panels totaling 1,409 square feet, strategically placed at the lobby portals to create bold entrance experiences. Each panel showcases precision laser-cut chevron patterns inspired by the building’s original exterior motifs. When viewed together, the chevron shapes form a cohesive artistic narrative, evoking a flock of birds in flight and bringing a sense of movement and nature indoors. Finished in Medium Bronze color and Fog grain from Móz Classic Collection, the aluminum panels achieve visual depth and durability in the building’s high-traffic environment. The panels were installed using Móz’s Key-Slot Wall System for precise alignment and a clean finish.

Enhancing the installation, the feature wall is backlit with advanced RGBW 4D LED systems and a light-diffusing backer from Móz, ensuring an even glow across the surface. Programmable controls and pre-programmed wave features allow the wall to shift with the rhythms of time, while also supporting vibrant lighting displays for holidays and special events. More than a backdrop, the feature transforms the lobby into an engaging destination—adding artistry, texture, and light while honoring the building’s architectural history.
