OVERVIEW:
Teaming up with WZMH Architects, we crafted 21 Laser Cut columns featuring our Petal and Contrails designs, enriching the dining ambiance for visitors at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto. These columns revamp the 42,000-square-foot food court, showcasing dynamic graphic motifs and captivating backlighting. Leveraging our laser cutting expertise, we infuse design detail into the shopping center’s columns, ensuring visually pleasing aesthetics and material robustness to withstand bustling foot traffic. These enhancements underscore the significance of deliberately designed dining spaces in rejuvenating malls.

PRODUCTS:
The project includes x4 MOZCC100 Series Round Backlit Laser Cut Column Covers with a Petals pattern. These covers are made from .090” aluminum and finished with a Rusted Copper powder coat. The columns have a 46” diameter and were constructed in four quarter-round sections, with heights of 126” and 133”. The columns feature vertical open reveals, which are color-matched to the cover finish, and a 6” recessed base made of brushed #4 stainless steel. To provide soft illumination, LED strip lights are mounted on aluminum bars, which are fastened to the existing concrete columns. An acrylic diffuser is included to ensure a glowing effect.

Additionally, the project includes x17 MOZCC100 Series Round Laser Cut Column Covers in the Contrails pattern. These covers are also made from .090” aluminum and have a Cream Metallic powder coat finish. The columns have a 38” diameter and were constructed in four quarter-round sections, with heights of 126” and 133”. Like the backlit columns, these feature vertical open reveals in a color to match the covers, and a 6” recessed base in brushed #4 stainless steel. Two of the columns include a removable hatch panel to provide access to plumbing. However, unlike the backlit columns, these columns are not equipped with any lighting.
